Choosing a research question to explore my ideas on was a difficult process because there are a lot of communities that I was interested on and could talk about. I eventually came to the conclusion that I wanted to question the community of African Americans and whether it is easier for them to  embrace their "blackness/culture" at a HBCU than it is at a PWI. I became interested in this topic because I know those who attend both sides of the spectrum and seeing their reasoning behind what they think would be an eye opener. I attended a 99.9 percent African American school, 1 percent being minority(whites/etc). Coming to an PWI was a different culture shock for me and I have my own perspective and opinions to coming here to Florida State. I could have made the decision to go to an HBCU but I choose to go to a PWI. Being able to question those who had the option like me and those who actually attended both types of university would be fascinating. I am missing the interview portion of this assignment and the exact questions I want to ask the people who I am interviewing. I know I will ask those around FSU in my year and those who older.  It is important to understand this topic and community cause it can overall improve the happiness of those who live and participates within the schools. Listening to adults who go to the universities can indeed affect the growth.
