1. Layli Long Soldier is referring to a Congressional resolution apology to Native Americans in 2009. She hasn't heard of it and it shocks her because she is also a part of a tribe and apology should be heard by those who it is referring to. She notes that because, there are some things about the apology that questions the reason why it was os quiet.
2. In the phrasing, "the arrival of Europeans opened a new chapter for Native People” she is speaking on the beginning of America, and how Europeans were the start of Native Americans and how that isn't true. She points out specific details because the apology, seem to have twisted words and made been extremely broad and vague on certain aspects so that there wouldn't have been any lashing.
3. Specificity is so important in this podcast because it points out different measures on how the government approached the Native Americans and how Layli Long Soldier felt when she actually read it. She didn't want to feel like a piece of something in America. It is important to be specific because your idea and thoughts have to be understood and heard by the reader which is seen in this podcast.
4. This interview is informal to a certain extent, because of the questions that are being asked in some parts of the interview. Both persons are calm and relax, which makes the tone for the interview very peaceful and informative. This interview made me think that I should have a positive mindset before I go into any interview without having any judgement already thought of.
